SO NATURAL BREAM
With the resurgence of silverfish fishing on natural venues and commercial fisheries over winter, we have decided that it is time to produce four new groundbaits specifically for silvers. We have developed these groundbaits in conjunction with some of the best silverfish anglers in the UK including Des Shipp, Lee Kerry, Steve Saunders, Mick Vials, Michael Buchwalder Will Freeman.
We took a fresh look at the market and decided to produce four new groundbaits all of which could be mixed straight from the bag or mixed with the others in the range to tailor a groundbait for a specific day on a specific venue.
Being able to mix them with each other was of great importance to all of our anglers as natural venues change and therefore the groundbait needs to change to suit the conditions and the methods on the day.
In general to create a heavier mix for slower break down in deeper water use So Natural River to strengthen the mix, for a darker mix with less feed increase the amount of So Natural Black, for a more active, lighter mix increase the amount of So Natural Lake and for a mix which is sweeter with a higher food content increase the amount of So Natural Bream, the possibilities really are endless.
So Natural Bream
A golden groundbait perfect for bream, skimmers and hybrids. It can be mixed up straight from the bag for use on a feeder or balling in on the pole. It has a high feed content including breadcrumb, ground maize, molasses meal and milled tiger nuts for sweetness.
It binds well so it acts as a good carrier for other baits such as sweetcorn, casters and chopped worm and is a slow acting dormant mix ensuring it stays on the bottom.
Lee Kerry says "When we started looking into developing a traditional range of breadcrumb based groundbaits I knew they had to be better than anything I had used before for them to be successful. The development of So Natural Bream was really interesting, working out what they wanted to eat and how to formulate the groundbait. The sweetness of the groundbait was really important and that comes from the tigernut flour and molasses which also helps to make the mix bind well. We were able to draw on my experience of fishing all over Europe, learning what works best and by combining this knowledge we were able to put together a groundbait which I firmly believe is the best groundbait to use for catching Bream from natural venues that aren't dominated by fishmeal baits."
Mixing Instructions
So Natural Bream is simple to mix. Empty the 1kg bag of groundbait into a round mixing bucket, fill a 1-pint maggot tub with water, pour this onto the groundbait and mix thoroughly, then allow it to rest for 30 minutes, during this time the water will be absorbed into the groundbait. Then for best results; to remove any lumps and create an even consistency, pass the groundbait through a riddle and it is ready to use.
When fishing sun and wind may dry the groundbait out a little, to combat this you can cover the mixed groundbait with a damp towel or if it does dry out just add a little more water and mix again.
